Who am I?
I am a blind person who began to lose her sight at 21 years old. My desire to live, to relate to the environment and the love of those who help me, are crucial to overcome the many obstacles I face in my daily life. In the National Organization of the Spanish Blind they taught me to move with a cane and to use the appropriate tools to resume my studies. I have a degree in Law from UNED, a degree in Tourism from the URJC and an Assistant Technician Certificate from the Protocol School and Institutional Relations at the International School of Protocol. I studied English and Italian in Ireland and Italy respectively and held certificates from the Official School of Languages in both languages. I received the Extraordinary Award at the end of my Tourism degree course for the best student 2016/2017 (average note of record: Outstanding 9.04). I love learning interesting things. So in 2017 , I started my studies in a double Degree in Fine Arts and Tourism. Just two year later my first painting exhibition «Drawing in Blindness» took place in Madrid. In 2017, I was choosen by the EU to colaborate as a volunteer with some European museums to make some of rheir paintings accessible to visually impaired visitors. The experience last two years and it was amazing. From 2016 to 2021 I was a menber of the Comission of Leisure and Inclusive Tourism on the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI).

¿Quién soy?
Me llamo Cristina M.V. de Diego Mayoral. Soy una persona ciega que empezó a perder la vista a los 21 años. Mis ganas de vivir, mis deseos de relacionarme con el entorno y el cariño de quienes me ayudan, son determinantes para superar los innumerables obstáculos que afronto día a día. En la Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles me enseñaron a moverme con un bastón y me proporcionaron las herramientas adecuadas para continuar con mis estudios. Soy Licenciada en Derecho por la UNED, Graduada en Turismo por la URJC y Técnica Auxiliar Especialista en Protocolo y Relaciones Institucionales por la Escuela Internacional de Protocolo. Estudié inglés e italiano en Irlanda e Italia y obtuve los certificados de la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas en ambas lenguas. En 2017, recibí el Premio Extraordinario de Fin de Grado en Turismo a la mejor estudiante 2016/2017 (mi nota media de expediente académico es Sobresaliente: 9,04). Me encanta aprender cosas interesantes. En 2017, empecé los estudios del doble Grado en Bellas Artes y Turismo. Solo dos años después, tuvo lugar en Madrid mi primera exposición de pintura «Dibujando a Ciegas». En 2017, fui elegida por la Unión Europea para colaborar como voluntaria con algunos museos europeos para hacer algunas de sus pinturas accesibles a visitantes con discapacidad visual. La experiencia duró dos años y fue apasionante. Desde 2016 hasta 2021, fui miembro de la Comisión de Ocio y Turismo Inclusivo del Comité Español de Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad (CERMI).
